Masonry Building Damage Model
Class Name

Model Description
Model Form
$$\Phi^{-1}(\eta) = \theta_1 \cdot M + \theta_2 \cdot I_p - \theta_3 \cdot D + \theta_4 \cdot N_s + \theta_5 \cdot \ln(PGA) - \theta_6 \cdot \Phi(V) + \varepsilon $$
where Building response model gets some of the parameters from the Building Information model.
- For further information on this model, refer to Talebiyan, H., Mahsuli, M. (2018).
DDM sensitivities
Properties
Object Name
- Name of the object in Rt
- Allowable characters are upper-case and lower-case letters, numbers, and underscore (“_”).
- The name is unique and case-sensitive.
Display Output
- Determines whether the model is allowed to print messages to the Output Pane.
With Tie Column
- \(M\) = masonry type, which is zero for CM (with tie column) and unity for URM (without tie column)
Rigid Diaphragm
- \(D\) = diaphragm type, which is zero for flexible diaphragms and unity for the rigid ones
- A Building Information Model object that returns the plan irregularity, \({I_p}\), and number of stories, \({N_s}\), to this model.
Demand PGA
- \(PGA\) = peak ground acceleration at the building location, which is returned from a seismic intensity model.
Design Base Shear Coefficient
- \(V\) = base shear coefficient that represents the current lateral strength.
Theta1 - Theta6
- \({\theta_1}\) - \({\theta_6}\) = masonry damage model parameters
Epsilon
- \({\varepsilon}\) = masonry damage model error
Sigma
- \({\sigma}\) = standard deviation of the masonry damage model error
Output
- \({\eta}\) = damage ratio
- The output is an automatically generated generic response object, which takes the object name of the model plus “Response”.
