Model Description
Model Form
- This model produces an intensity at specified locations for given magnitude and hypocenter location of several earthquake sources as input.
- The functional form of the model is as follows:
$$I = {10^{ - {\vartheta _1} + {\vartheta _2} \cdot M - {\vartheta _3} \cdot {{\log }_{10}}(R) + {\vartheta _4} \cdot R + \varepsilon }}$$

Properties
Object Name
- Name of the object in Rt
- Allowable characters are upper-case and lower-case letters, numbers, and underscore (“_”).
- The name is unique and case-sensitive.
Display Output
- Determines whether the model is allowed to print messages to the Output Pane.
Structure Location List
- List of the locations at which the intensity will be computed
- The model will generate as many responses as the number of locations given here
Magnitude List
- \({M}\) = magnitudes of various earthquake sources
Hypocentre Location List
- Hypocenter locations of earthquake sources, which are used to compute the distance, \({R}\), to the structure locations.
Theta1
Theta2
Theta3
Theta4
Epsilon
- \({\varepsilon}\) = Model error, typically a normal random variable with a zero mean and a 0.26 standard deviation (Joyner and Boore 1981).
Output
- \({I}\) = Intensities at each of the structure locations.
- The outputs are automatically generated generic response objects, which take the object name of the model plus the name of the structure location object plus “Response”.
